David has more than ten years experience covering the markets for enterprise and government mobility solutions, wireless data communication technologies and automatic data-capture research and consulting. David focuses on identifying the key drivers and enablers in the adoption of mobile and wireless solutions among mobile workers in the extended enterprise. David’s consulting and strategic advisory experience is far reaching and includes technology and market opportunity assessments, technology penetration and adoption enablers, partner profiling and development, new product development and M&A due diligence support. David has extensive primary market research management and execution experience to support market sizing and forecasting, total cost of ownership (TCO), comparative product performance evaluation, competitive benchmarking and end user requirements analysis. David is a graduate of Boston University (BSBA).

Eric is a market research and consulting professional specializing in the design, analysis, and delivery of project-based research.  Over the past 15 years, Eric has worked with a wide array of firms across a number of industries, leading quantitative and qualitative research in areas such as innovation in enterprise software, supply chain risk management, manufacturing operations/automation, and IT spending research. Eric has worked in a variety of market research and management roles, providing market data and competitive intelligence to Fortune 500 firms.  His previous employers include: AMR Research, The Yankee Group, and Affiliated Computer Services (ACS). Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Boston University.

Balca supports all of the Mobile & Wireless practice’s major research programs and is a contributor on many custom research and consulting engagements.  Her work includes coverage of enterprise mobility hardware, software and services, delivery models including managed services for enterprise mobility solutions, and more.  Balca’s prior experience includes market research studies on entrepreneurship and development, online higher education, Information Technology industry in Pacific-Rim, hospitality and tourism and logistics industries.  Balca holds a B.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Sabanci University in Istanbul, Turkey and a M.B.A. from University of Massachusetts Boston.

Britt supports syndicated and custom research projects, as well as consulting engagements, focused on enterprise mobility solutions.  Prior to joining the Mobile & Wireless Practice, she conducted research around embedded platforms, mobile hardware and multicore computing in VDC’s Embedded Hardware & Systems Practice.  Britt graduated summa cum laude from Babson College with a BS in business administration.  Her coursework included studies in global supply chain management, marketing, and applied quantitative modeling.

Gerrell has more than 12 years experience in direct/indirect sales and marketing in the technology market. Prior to working for VDC Research, Gerrell was the Senior Key Account Executive for the Aberdeen Group to support the Storage and Enabling Technologies practices. As part of VDC’s Mobile & Wireless Practice, Gerrell is responsible for business development and account management in the areas of enterprise/government/military mobile solutions markets. His deep experience with market intelligence enables him to understand the needs of senior managers and provide prudent recommendations regarding the research and strategic advisory services that will have the most value for their businesses.  Gerrell is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine (BA, Economics).
